Iron Octahedrite
Description
A fragment of the Canyon Diablo meteorite found around the meteor crater in Arizona. Iron meteorites are pieces of the shattered cores of asteroids. They are classified on the basis of how much nickel they contain. Octahedrites contain 6.5 to 13% nickel.
