This book was written by Ray Gunn in 2004 about the closure of the Aberllefenni slate quarry, Gwynedd. Included are photographs of the quarry as it was in 2003-2004, both above and below ground, as well as text which gives background information on the quarry itself, showing how much has changed there since then. Most of the slate waste tips on the valley floor have disappeared now and of course the mine entrance has been sealed off and the floodlights will never be turned on again in the lower level and chambers.
