High Constable of Glamorgan
Description
A photograph believed taken in Aberdare from the late 1940's or very early 1950's of what is believed to be High Constable of Aberdare.
The event is not known, but what is known is that the two police officers escorting him, are members of the Glamorgan Constabulary.
The officer on the left is the late James Emrys Williams who, by the two stripes on each arm is holding the rank of Acting or Temporary Sergeant.
Emrys was the much loved Great Uncle of the owner of the photograph, Mary Williams of Velindre, Llandysul.
