Description

The entrance to the middle and lower levels of the Rhiwgreiddyn quarry. This entrace was once sealed up to allow water to flood the tunnels and large basin lake inside, to keep people out. However, in the mid 1990s the plug burst in a storm and the water all flooded out and down the raod with great force, causing much damage. It was never resealed again.
