The old council road to Ceinws / Esgairgeiliog, by the Rhiwgreiddyn quarry slate waste tips. This is where the former section of council road which passed under the tramway bridge continued to the village. It was raised to it's present position, level with the tramway in 1895 to make room to tip more waste slate.
