This is a view of the approach to Barry Goods Depot at the west end of No.1 Dock at Barry. The depot is behind and to the left of the photographer. The footbridge allowed pedestrians to cross the multiple tracks when heading to the south side of the dock and Barry Island, a similar bridge crossed the sidngs on the south side and exited on Clive Road on the Island. The coal tips on the north side of No 1 Dock can be seen beyond the footbridge. Whilst it is difficult to date precisely, it is likely to be before WW1.
