This photo was taken by Mena Edwards, Head mistress of Pantperthog school in 1940s. The tallest boy on the far right was Ken Rowlands, Julia Gunn's father. I think it was a gas mask drill. Mena Edwards married Mr Ifor Jones who worked with his brothers in the local coal business at the Felin Pantperthog. They lived at Rhiwawel with their daughter Olwen Ifona.
