Pen Pinner farm, Pantperthog, Machynlleth. Pen Pinner farm sits on top of the hill to the left of Gelligen fawr. It was occupied until the Second World War. It was then purchased by the Forestry Commission, who as a matter of policy immediately pushed in the roof in on the house to prevent anyone living there and planted the land with trees, right up to the house walls. The well built house and farm buildings would have commanded a fine view from the top of the hill across the valley.
