A rough sketch of Rehoboth chapel Corris. Julia Gunn's Great grandparents Robert Owen and Mary Jane Thomas were married at Rehoboth chapel in 1897. In September 1922 after heavy rainfall, a huge volume of water and rocks ran down the mountain behind the Rehoboth chapel. The wall gave way and inside the chapel filled with mud, rocks and water. Luckily no one was hurt as the village children were safe inside the school. The chapel was later demolished.
