Class 1, No.8 District Police Training Centre, Cowbridge Road, Bridgend. This establishment was responsible for the training of all newly recruited policemen from forces right across Wales.

The names and details of the Staff / Instructors (those in the front row) are written in ink on the back. Also shown are the dates of the course, shown as having taken place between February and April 1962.

It was traditional for each Class to have its photograph taken at the end of the training course.
