Description

Nottage Court is an Elizabethan Manor house built on the site of a wheat farm, managed by the monks at Margam Abbey. After Henry VIII dissolved the monasteries, the estate became the property of Sir Rice Mansel.
A pageant was held there in 1910 as part of a programme of fund raising events, aimed at providing a new All Saints' Church to replace the 'Tin Cathedral', a church constructed of corrugated iron, which had served the residents of Nottage as a church since 1892.
