Description

Linocut print of Dylan Thomas by Paul Peter Piech.

Dylan Thomas is probably one of Wales' most famous poets. Although he spent all of his childhood in Swansea, he did not learn the language because of his father's anti-Welsh attitude, but his love for his country is evident in his work. He became famous throughout his life for his literary work as well as his reputation as "a roistering, drunken and doomed poet". He is noted for his original, rhythmic and inventive use of words and imagery.
