Letter from James Lamb to the Rev. Michael D. Jones, 29 August 1861 [page 1, image 1 of 2]

Description

In this letter, James Lamb informs Michael D. Jones that the Colonizing Committee has not yet met. The Committee intends to meet on Tuesday evening and Lamb will write to Jones to let him know of its consequences. He believes that it will be relatively easy to raise some money to buy a ship. In a postscript to the letter [on the second page], he notes that Mr Green called regarding the bill for the lifebuoys.
