Letter from Dr Thomas Greene to the Rev. Michael D. Jones, 9 May 1865

Description

In this letter, the surgeon Thomas Greene offers his services to the Welsh Settlement for a period of twelve months on the following terms: free cabin passage to the Settlement aboard the 'Mimosa', one hundred pounds for the year, together with board and lodging in the Settlement. Michael D. Jones has signed the document to state that he accepts the above terms.

Only for a short period did Thomas Greene serve as the Settlement's doctor. He left the Welsh Settlement in November 1865, sailing to Buenos Aires aboard the 'Mary Helen'.
