The street plan accompanying the 'Aberysywth Official Guide and Souvenir' published by Aberystwyth Corporation in 1924 shows the Carnegie foundation library which was built in 1905-1906 by Walter G. Payton of London. The interior has green glazed tiles. The library has now moved to the Town Hall. The street plan of the earlier 'Borough Guide' published by the Town Council and Edward J Burrows Co places the library on the other side of Corporation Street lower down the hill.
