The 'Aberystwyth Official Guide and Souvenir' published by the Aberystwyth Corporation in 1924 notes that services in English were presided over by Rev Father Paul Hook. The church's full name is the Roman Catholic church of Our Lady and St Winefride. It was built 1874-5 to a design by George Jones and Son of Aberystwyth. The church was closed in 2012.
