Description

The 'Borough Guide' published by the Town Council and Edward J Burrows Co around 1905 notes that services conducted in English took place at 11am and 6pm. The 'Aberystwyth Official Guide and Souvenir' published by the Aberystwyth Corporation in 1924 gave the vicar as The Venerable Archdeacon Williams. The church was built in phases - Middleton & Son undertook the first phase (the nave) between 1882 - 1886. The second phase, comprising the by tower base and transepts, was undertaken 1888-89. The chancel was added in 1897 by Prothero and Phillott of Cheltenham.
