The 'Aberystwyth Official Guide and Souvenir' published by Aberystwyth Corporation in 1924 list the parish hall in St Michael's Place as a place of entertainment, concerts, etc. A line drawing of the hall also features in an advert for the builder R & H L Owen. The company office was at 36a Queen Street and they promoted themselves as Builders, Contractors and Decorators, Sanitary and Heating Engineers. The drawing notes the architect of the hall - G T Bassett, RIBA. Above the door the date of build '1914' is featured within a decorative panel.
