The 'Aberystwyth Official Guide and Souvenir' published by the Aberystwyth Corporation contains an advert for the hotel. The proprietor was A H Lowe and amongst the features promoted were the ladies drawing room and lounge hall. The hotel also had a coffee room with two billiard tables. The old Talbot Inn was demolished in 1830 and the new hotel opened in G551832 with the development of the street.
