Description

Llanelli centre Ray Gravell gained 23 caps for Wales and 4 for the British and Irish Lions between 1975 and 1982.
Even before hanging up his boots in early 1985, Gravell had made his mark as a broadcaster, teaming up with Huw Llewelyn Davies to give the first Welsh-language television commentary in 1982. After his retirement in 1985, he concentrated on his career in broadcasting and acting and he became a well-loved television personality in Wales.
Ray Gravell sadly died at the age of 56 on 31 October 2007.
