Description

Gwern y Gefeile was a farm on the Ynyscedwin Estate, Ystradgynlais. On 13th August, 1791, Howell Lewis signed a lease for the lives of three people, himself, his wife Magdalen and his son Lewis. Lewis must have died because, when Howell died in 1817 Isaac Lewis inherited the lease. The property is still there today but is no longer a farm.
