The 'Aberystwyth Official Guide and Souvenir' published by the Aberystwyth Corporation in 1924 includes an advert for Richard & Co at this location (4-6 Market Street). The shop was a ladies and gentlemen's outfitters and hosiers. Boys, youth and men's ready-to-wear clothing was also stocked along with ties, collars, shirts and pyjamas.
