Description

Letter from Llwyd ap Iwan, Chubut, to his mother Mrs Anne Jones, 1 June 1902. He thanks her for her letters and says that he has also received letters from his brother, Mihangel. He says that a number of Boers were seen the other day travelling southwards towards Lake Colwapi. The outlook is not favourable as more floods are believed to be on the way, so he will make preparations to spend the winter on the mountains soon. He informs his mother that 259 settlers recently left Porth Madryn for Canada aboard the 'Orissa'. He believes that many more will follow.
