This record lists in detail every birth, death, marriage, and unusual occurrence at the Welsh Settlement during the first ten years of its history (1865-75). The information was recorded by R. J. Berwyn, the Settlement's first registrar.

It is noteworthy that this document is a copy. It was one of the several important documents that were destroyed by the great flood which covered Dyffryn Camwy in 1899.
