Postcard sent by Harry White of the 2nd Battalion of the Welch Regiment to his sister, Lucy Jenkins (née White) at Llangunnor Vicarage, Carmarthen. He wrote “ Was sent to the Field Ambulance before Regt. left for the trenches. Have since developed a quinsey throat and am being moved by the next train from the Clearing Station”.
