Description

Private Henry Hook of the 24th (South Warwickshire) Regiment was awarded the Victoria Cross, Britain’s highest aware for gallantry in the face of the enemy, for his actions defending the hospital during the Defence of Rorke’s Drift on 22nd and 23rd January 1879.
