Victorian Glamorgan Constable
Description
A 19th century CDV (Carte de Visite) photograph mounted on hard card backing of Police Constable no. 219 of the Glamorgan Constabulary.
The reverse shows details of the photographer - Edwin Lott, Nolton Studio, Nolton Street, Bridgend. It is believed that Lott used this style of backing to his photos between 1891 and 1901, which is in keeping with the type of Queen Victoria crown on the helmet plate.
The Ross Mather Police Memorabilia of WalesCollection.
