Description

Two very rare metal helmet plates of the former north Wales police force known then, and spelled as Carnarvonshire Constabulary.

The one to the left has a nickel plate finish and the other a blackened finish. The blackened on was quite likely for use during the hours of darkness.

Although not known for exactly how long, the helmet plates with the three feathers centre, were issued for only a very short period of time around about 1910.
