Description
My Mother, May Hewlett, is the little girl in the middle of the front row and for once she is smiling. May had a great love of opera and music throughout her life. She played the piano and sang in choirs. May wrote "This is the cast from the opera The Bohemian Girl. We performed at The Public Hall in Briton Ferry in 1923. I'm in the middle of the front row. I played the little girl who is kidnapped at the beginning of the opera. I didn't have to sing - just scream!"
