Description

Transcription:

My dearest Lillie
The parcel reached me quite safely and thank you very much. Please also convey to Aunt G. my thanks for the tin of biscuits. Have you made those enquiries I asked you to make for me? … long ago it seems now.
It is terribly cold and wet – in fact is snowing hard – I really cannot blame myself for my throat – it has done a lot for me, but one wishes one felt fit.
I can think of very little to write – interesting matter, I am suffering from restlessness. Can you buy, in the cheaper edition a book called The Broad Highway by Jeffery Farnol. I hear it is very good. Please get it as soon as possible and send it along with a pair of socks. I think it better to keep the others in reserve. Very sorry to hear of the five bad casualties. More anon
With fondest love
Yours
Harry
Hope to write to Aunt G in a day or two.
