Description
This was a favourite photograph of Mother's (May Hewlett). It show her elder sister Rose amongst the trees in blossom. May always said it was taken at the Mumbles, but exactly where I'm not sure. Rose was killed in a motor accident just before Christmas of 1957. It was a heavy blow for the Hewlett family. William Anthony Hewlett, her Father, never recovered and died just 9 weeks later aged 74. May carried the memory of her sister till the day she died.
