Description

Known as the ‘Lodge Bridge’ it carried the road over the Angell river that connected Cwmllygodig Hall with the village . Initially it was a weak all wood construction but was later strengthened by stone pillars when it began to be used by the Forestry Commission when they bought the estate in 1920. In the top-right hand corner is the best photo known to have survived of the Hendre Ddu Tramway locomotive shed built in 1921 when the Motor Rail locomotive was purchased.
