Description
The crossroads at the entrance to the village. Known as ‘The Square’ to generations of Aberangell inhabitants it was both a meeting place, children’s playground , and from 1926 following the completion of the new bridges it also became the bus stop. The nearby railway bridge provided a suitable shelter from the elements until it was demolished in 1964. From the collection of Gwyndaf Breese. The handrail of the footbridge across the Angell can be seen on the LHS.
