Carmarthenshire Constabulary
Description
An original photograph which has been set into a Christmas Greetings card. (Approx. 6" x 4").
Its origins are not known, nor are details of the policeman, other than he is a Constable of the former Carmarthenshire Constabulary.
In 1910, the force changed the design of its helmet plate, from the smaller circular one is shown, to one which was substantially bigger.
As such, the photograph can be confidently dated between 1901 and 1910.
