Description
Report by Thomas Bowen of Aqueduct Cottage Pembrey on sinking a new shaft near an old pit to extract coal and ironstone from under Glan Gwendraeth farm near Pontyyates. Includes his calculation of possible tonnage and recommendation on royalties payable. He comments on the the roof and bottom stone, noting that it will require little timber. With transcription (4 pages).
