W. T. H Phelps Esq.

Sir
I some time since wrote Mr.Rogers
on the subject of Queen vs Victory asking for
certain Information which he thought he was
not justified in giving me and he informed me that
he has handed my letter over to you.
The Case as it at present stands I care not
one jot about. the gross perjury already committed
I am prepared to answer. but being in Ignorance
of what else it may be attempted to prove I feel
convinced that you will afford me an opportunity
of meeting it by informing me the names places
of abode & professions of the Witnesses if any who
are not upon the Depositions but are to be examined
against the prisoner.
I understand that Captn.Stack has
discovered that the Evidence is a mass of falsehoods -
& hesitate as to preferring the Bill if this be so -
&
I could know for certain I might save some
considerable expense -
I am Sir
Your obedt Servt
Wm Victory
