James Emery of Pontypool Cabinet Maker being further
examined States that on the Sunday morning
the 3rd Novr when he saw Jones the Watchmaker
at the house of David Richards, Jones
said " Ill bet any money that before Wednesday
night we shall either have the Charter &
all will be pardoned and the Government will be
in our Own hands"-

Examinant also states that he was
well acquainted with George Shell of Pontypool
Cabinet Maker and that he had frequently
seen him write both at Jones' House in the
books of the Chartist association , and also in
making out his employers Bills, that he knows
his handwriting that he has seen a
letter addressed to George Shells father
by George Shell dated 4th Novr in the
