Regina v Z Williams

William Jenkins - I am a Haulier for
_ and am about 13 years of age[^]
the Coalbrook Vale Company - I live at
Garnvach - I live with my mother & sister -
My Mother's house is about a quarter of a
mile from Prisoners House - William
Davis' House is at Coed ca [*] a little
further than mine from Z. Williams House -
about 100 yards - About 6 weeks or two
Months before the Riots I was at Zephaniah
Williams - James James came to my
House and asked me to go to Prisoner's
House - as a partner - to have a drop of -
Beer - I went - I sat down in the Long
Room - Myself, James James, and
Llewellin Williams, Prisoner's Son, were in
the Room - I saw James James give
Llewellin Williams 11 Cards - My name
was on one of the Cards - I dont know the
names of any of the others - and asked
L.Williams to put them down on the paper -
He wrote them down on the paper - As
soon as L.Williams had written the names
he gave it to James James - and
told him to take it with him -
James James went home
with me that evening and took the paper
with him - I saw him put the paper in
his pocket at Prisoner's House - James
James sat down and had some convers-n
with my Sisters - John David is the
Landlord of the House in which I live
- I paid 6d for my Card when I entered -
He said he had a paper for William
- Davis -
that they were to give it to William

Davis - James James afterwards
came and fetched it away - I dont know
how long after it was left there - I
was at a meeting of the Chartists at
Prisoner's House on the Thursday
previous to the Riots - Prisoner said
there was a meeting to be held on the
Mountain and would name the day
afterwards - Then I passed Zephaniah
Williams's House on Sunday before the
Riots and saw a number of people all
about Prisoner's House it was in the
Evening - I went on a little further when
_____________and took me
a man met me ^by my Collar and said
you must go along with us - I don't
know him - he took me
straight to the mountain - I saw
a great many men at the mountain
I saw James James there - I saw
Abraham Thomas who was killed
down here there - I went from
the mountain to Ebbw Vale Works -
I saw Pris.r there - He had an
umbrella in one hand and the other
in his pocket - I went on before him -
I came on down to Aberbeeg - I came
on from Aberbeeg - I stopped at
Risca Bridge - and left them -
this is all I know
