Since I last wrote to you I have
discovered several Circumstances which Stockdale
thought fit to conceal from me, connected with
the Capture of Zephaniah Williams - I see by the
Merlin that he is to be re - examined on Monday -
If you will put off the Examination until after the
arrival of the Mail, I will either bring, or send you a
Copy of a Letter which I have written to Lord Bute
on the Subject. Should anything prevent my
coming over, I will send a letter to you by the Mail
- directed to be delivered immediately.
