by Mr Geach . I went to Bryn Mawr
to see my friends . I went to see Mr Marsden
as one in particular. I called upon 3 friends
in the course of the day. I called on Mr Havard
[at] the Prince of Wales . Mr Powell of the
New found Out but it is the Bee Hive
I had conversation about the movement
[?] bet[wee]n the men. Mr Marsden
for one went to Abergavenny that mor - [ni]ng I had
no conversation with the Publicans but I saw
them leaving the Town. I heard several other people
conversing upon the subj t that day I learnt
nothing from them. I had not heard of that movement
before. I was in doubt as well as themselves
The doubts that I had heard that day did not
convey any impression to my mind as I had
often heard such reports before. I have said
that I have heard other people say
that they were afraid of the Chartists
rising I had not heard of I have
heard of the rising before that day .
I withdraw my answer when I state that
I had not heard of rising.Tues d[ay] of 5th Novr I
was taken by a Policeman & 2 constables
to Mr Edwards the magistrate/s/. I was confined
at the Poor House 6 Days. My Statement
was taken at the Poor House by Mr Edwards . It
did not occupy much time about 10 minutes
or a quarter of an hour. Mr Edwards did not
