10th December & adjourned to the
31st December 1839 -

The Queen
against
John Gibby


Brief for the Prosecution -

Monmouthshire (To wit) The Jurors for our
Sovereign Lady the Queen upon their Oath present
That John Gibby late of Saint Woolos in the
Co-y of Monmouth Blacksmith herefore to wit on the
first day of October in the year of our Lord 1839 and
and on divers other days and time between that day and
the taking this Inquisition to wit at St Woolos
afsd. in the Co-y afsd. unlawfully & seditiously did
conspire combine confederate & agree with divers other
persons to the Jurors unknown to raise insurrections
tumults disturbances & breaches of the public peace
within this Realm and to oppose and obstruct the
due ex-on of the law & to procure arms to wit pikes
Swords and Daggers for more effectively carrying the
Sd. conspiracy combination confederacy and agreement
into effect and the Sd. John Gibby in furtherance and
pursuance of the Sd. conspiracy combination confederacy
& agreement did during the time afsd. to wit on the
1st.. day of Novr. in the year afsd. & on divers other
days and times between that day and the taking of this
Inquisition to wit at St Woolos afsd. in the County
afsd. unlawfully procure and make divers to wit 50
