at Caerleon upon suspicionof stealing a pair of shoes
about 2 years ago - A Peace Warrant against
him now for illtreating his wife & family
which was the cause of his leaving Talawaine
or Verteg - and is altogether as great a
scoundrel as ever lived - He also collected
sums of money from the Workmen at
Blackwood to support a combination against
the Iron Masters and others and bolted with
the cash / taken up on suspition in Monmouth
for trying to bribe the Witnesses
