Monday the 28th usual Meeting I was
there at Coach & Horses money paid to Pugh
the Treasurer

Wednesday 30 I sawWilliams - Jones they
Mission-ies [*] they said they came down to
get us organised - we are going to visit all
the places in the neighbourhood where
there are Lodges to stir them up
________ few of the friends in the evening

On Thursday I was at Newport came
home late I heard there had been a Meeting
at the Coach I calld there late going
home I saw Frost & Williams I believe Jones
was there this meeting I believe was private
Friday the Meeting took place 2 to 5
about 30 attended of Delegates Frost Williams

Arms no matter what kind they must bring
something Guns Pikes Mandrels or even sticks
they should follow & obey the leaders
The report something to this effect
each Delegate how many they had -
each Lodge the next thing how many
had Guns - how many had pikes & how
many they could depend upon in
different clases some they thought better

Frost & him went out they were 10 Mi/nu/tes or
Quarter of an hour- Mrs Frost[*] gave me 2 letters
she gave my - Frost burnt 3 or 4 letters then
we went to the Coach & Horses - Frost went to
a bed room me and the Delegate the [?] ] wanted
put the rising further off I tould the young
man on the road he wishd to put off to another
time- Frost said he could not it was agreed
up they day before he to b/e/ a working
man he left & went Newport way
to Monmouth to go to Birmingham this was
about 9 o ten clock Saturday Night

Number of people inside many strangers
half past 6 Frost was the outside
walking backwards & forwards they fired
a shot then started went up little way
to Blackwood turned round now for Newport
Women & Children crying much Armed Guns
