Description

John Morgan of Tredegar Collier states - about 7 o'clock
on the Sunday Evening before the Riots at Newport some men came
to my house and forced me to go with them - we went towards Newport
when we came to Sir Charles Morgan's Park we halted for some time
I saw Thomas Davis collier of Ebbw Vale there - I saw him for about 10 minutes - when
I first saw him he was walking, he afterwards sat down a few yards
from the mob - When Mr Frost gave the word march I lost sight
of him - I was obliged to go on to Newport and was wounded at
the Westgate -
