Thomas Watts of Gelly Groes in the
County of Monmouth Hallier and a Special
Constable for the County states
That he had warrants placed in his hands
for the apprehension of Edward Pillinger
John Fisher and John Batten the younger -
Fisher and Batten surrendered themselves to
him - and acknowledged having been down
to Newport with the mob on the day of the
Riots there.
