Thomas Watts of Gelly Groes in the
County of Monmouth Hallier and a Special
Constable of the said County States:
that he had Warrants placed in his hands
for the apprehension of three of the
prisoners John Fisher and John Batten and Edward
Pillinger - Fisher and Batten surrendered
themselves to him - and acknowledged to him
that they had been down with the mob to Newport
on the day of the riots there
