By Directions of William Williams Esquire,
Thomas Meredith Esquire, and the
Reverend Thomas Vaughan, Magistrates for the
County and Borough of Brecknock I send
you the inclosed Examinations in the
Case of William Jones , who was apprehended,
yesterday Evening at Trallong in this County -
and this Day committed for further Examination
on Suspicion of High Treason committed
at Newport on the 4th of November 1839
the Particulars of which you will see
in the Examinations - He will be
detained here until Directions are received
from you and the Monmouthshire Magistrates
for his further Disposal - which the
Magistrates request you will send without
Loss of Time - They have issued two other
Warrants against Rees Jones, who is supposed
to be at Merthyr Cynog and William
Leyshon, supposed to be at Ystradgunlais
and Officers are in search of them
