Sir
If you were to send for James
Rosser of the Chapel Farm in the
Parish of Penhow I think he
can give you some information
against Cha[rle]s Jones of the Royal Oak
& a man of the name of Jenkins and
a chain maker whose name
I do not know &
I understand they went to
his house on the day of
the Riot and remained
there for three or four days
& returned back to Town
in disguise, I think it would
be right to ask Rosser whose Clothes
C Jones had on when he came
back to Newport
I think they were Rossers
James Leonard of Salisbury
farm near the Rock & fountain
can give information respecting
a Captain of Gang.
