Regina v[ersus] Charles Jones
James Rosser of Chapel farm - Penhow-
in the county of Monmoutshire - I am a
Farmer - I was at home on Sunday
the third day of November instant -
know Charles Jones of the Royal
Oak he came to my House between
eight and nine o'clock on Sunday
night third November instant -
slept at my house on that night - he
remained at my house until Thursday
evening - Mr Tombs was
with him - between 50 & 60 years of
age - Jenkins was not with them -
Mr Jones and Mr Tombs came to
my House on a visit -They were
dessed in their own clothes when
they came - I lent Jones a great
Coat because of the Rain - I didn't
lend Tombs any thing - I know
many Jenkins - not one Jenkins came
to my House on that day - They came
to my House by previous arrangement -
never attended any of the meetings - never
heard that Jones was a Chartist - never
Knew that Chartist meetings was held at
his House -
