Reg[ina] v[ersus]. Wm Jones (Watchmaker)
John Davies of Rhiw Sir David Monythusloyne Collier
says (blank space) In the Summer of 1839 I joined the
Chartist
Lodge held at the Coach & Horses - and paid 6d - I only
attended once - I never attended any other Chartist Lodge
until Saturday night the 2nd November when I went to the
May Pole with Herbert Davies & Watkin Moses to see
what was going on - I have heard their Evidence read
over and can speak to the whole of it except that I did not
see William Jones's pistol owing to their being between me
and him - I saw him apparently put his hand
into his pocket at the time - Davies and Moses told
me of the pistol immediately Jones went out -
